H- hurting U- Unheard M- manipulated A- afraid N- numb Avoid all the resources, bitterness and money that goes into prisons and what not--by acknowledging the hurt; active listening; helping people understand when they're being 'played' and how to appropriatlly respond; comfort and reassure; be their friend and help them realize they're a VIP in our community. Harm reduction. Sounds easy but it's not. We live in a selfish world where it's 'all about me'. I find it difficult to get people to care. Thanks Jason! You're awsome! I second that emotion!
